About My Farmhouse Table
Growing up our farmhouse table was always the gathering spot to start and finish the day. It has been a place that my family would stop to share meals and laughter. It is the location of some of our favorite memories of competitive card games or grandma’s country meals.
The kitchen table is a place of unity and comfort on a farm and that is the feeling I wanted to bring to my blog. A place to share my memories, my stories, my passions, and most importantly my love of a great homecooked meal!

Meet Chanda
I was raised in the Midwest, on my family’s grain and cattle farm. A love of agriculture and Husker football led me to cross the Missouri River and earn a degree in Agriculture Business and Animal Science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
After spending over 5 years working in Omaha after graduation, I received a promotion that allowed me to move back to the family farm.
Ensuring my days are filled with faith, family, farming, and food.
Life On The Farm
My life is far from glamorous.
I’m not too proud to use canned soups and boxed cake mixes to cook.
A vacation is sometimes just a stop in a neighboring town for ice cream.
HGTV makes you believe that true farmhouse décor is beautiful white fixtures and furnishings. Ha! Those wouldn’t last a day around the mud caked boots, grease covered overalls, corn filled pockets, and itchy bras full of hay that make their way through my front door.
Yes. I did just talk about bras in my “About” section. Sorry.
I’m loud. I love to laugh. And sunsets make my world go round.
It is not all Pinterest or Instagram worthy, which is just right for me.
Imperfect. Unfiltered. But surrounded by Love and led by Grace.
