Boozy Bailey’s Shamrock Shake
Anyone else love the green milkshakes that McDonald’s serves in the month of March to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? This shake made with vanilla ice cream, mint flavoring and topped with whipped cream is the perfect copycat treat to make at home. If you are looking for a way to amp up the flavor (and the festivities) make this adult version of a Boozy Bailey’s Shamrock Shake.

You heard me.
This milkshake is everything you love about the original from McDonald’s, but with the addition of everyone’s favorite Irish cream liqueur, Bailey’s.

Grab yourself a blender.
Throw in some big scoops of your favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream.
If you have an aversion to little specks of chocolate in your shake, do as Micky-D’s does and just use vanilla ice cream.

Add in some mint extract and green food coloring and you won’t know the difference!
I personally prefer not having to add the extra ingredients, so mint chocolate chip it is!

Now comes the fun part.
Splash in a good helping of Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur.
I’m talking about a nice 1/4 cup here people. This ain’t your regular McDonald’s Shamrock Shake recipe.
When I tell you it’s “boozy Bailey’s”. I want to mean it.

Blend it all up.
Squeeze on a solid dollop of whipped cream (y’all the canned stuff works just dandy).
And of course, finish with a cherry on top!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
