Instant Pot Baked Beans
Two of the most popular blog posts on My Farmhouse Table over the past year have been my Instant Pot Beef Tips with Gravy and Dr Pepper Baked Beans. For obvious reasons. It seems like almost everyone has a Pressure Cooker these days and are looking for some great recipes. As for my Dr Pepper Baked Beans? Just try them once, I promise you won’t look at canned beans the same way. I thought I would try my hand at combining the two favorite recipes and making these Instant Pot Baked Beans.

I have only once before tried to cook dry beans.
And I failed.
Hard.
Literally.
I followed the cooking instructions. I soaked the beans overnight and then followed the suggested cooking time for the beans.
It was a no go my friends. The beans were barely cooked through and in the end I just tossed them out. It was just not happening.

These beans though. Were a different story all together.
One of the reasons I wanted a pressure/multi cooker was to try my hand at cooking beans from start to finish.
Dry beans are so economical. For about a dollar a pound they can be quickly turned into a simple meal or side dish with the help of your pressure cooker.

By just combining rinsed beans and water into your pressure cooker and hitting a few buttons, you will have perfectly cooked beans in about an hour!
Then using the saute function of the cooker I stirred in and heated the remaining ingredients.
Voila!
You have a quick, delicious, and economical side dish to serve with your favorite summer eats!
