Saucy BBQ Chicken Legs
Memorial Day is here and that usually has me craving simple meals that are quick and delicious. This recipe for Saucy BBQ Chicken Legs checks all those boxes and more.

While I love grilled chicken recipes, sometimes I crave BBQ chicken but don’t want to fire up the grill. When that happens, I turn to this recipe that gives me that barbeque flare, without the added hassle.

One of my other favorite aspects of this meal is that you can use whatever cut of chicken you like.
Are you a boneless, skinless chicken breast kind of person?
Or love to cook with the whole bird?
Whichever option you choose will end up being delicious.
For me, I’m a dark meat girl and chicken legs are usually cheap and go on sale quite often, making it a great economical choice for feeding friends and family.

Simply arrange whatever your chicken of the day is, into a dish to bake for about 40 minutes while you start to make the sauce.
Sauté the onion and garlic in a little butter, then add in ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and salt.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes.

After the chicken has cooked for its initial 40 minutes, spoon half of the homemade BBQ sauce over the top of the chicken pieces. Return it to the oven to cook for another 10 minutes.
After that bake, remove the chicken from the oven, and using tongs turn over the pieces and top with remaining sauce.
Return the chicken to the oven to bake for an additional 10 minutes to finish cooking and set the sauce.

Serve along side a lettuce salad or another of your favorite picnic side dishes.
These Saucy BBQ Chicken legs offer a convenient and delicious way to enjoy the flavors of grilled chicken without the added hassle (or heat).
With minimal preparation and a few simple ingredients you can savor tender, juicy, and finger-lickin’ good chicken in no time.
