The Best Cookbooks for Gifts
Last month I put together a post on some of my favorite books to read. You all loved looking through the list. Many of you reached out to me, discussing books that we have both enjoyed and looking for more information on other reads that you were intrigued about. So I thought I would share a similar post today, The Best Cookbooks for Gifts.

I read cookbooks, like many people read novels. I love looking at the pictures, reading each recipe, each story, and trying to understand what makes each author love to cook.
Now, I realize not everyone may have the same quirk as I do, but finding a cookbook that is full of delicious, simple, and easy ideas can make anyone a little happier.

Best Cookbooks for Gifts- The Lineup
This list is really aimed at some of my favorite cookbooks, not only for myself, but also to give others as a gift.
Especially a bridal shower or wedding gift. Cookbooks are my go-to on anyone’s registry list.
And my default button usually turns to one of The Pioneer Woman’s lineup.
Simple, straight forward, not too fussy, delicious, and family pleasing recipes are hard to beat.

On a similar note, is Ms. Joanna Gaines, of HGTV Fixer Upper fame, and her first cookbook, Magnolia Table.
A stunning book (would you expect anything less from Jo Jo?) with recipe photos that just pop off the pages.
It is like a look through her family’s personal cookbook with recipes from her parents, Chip’s parents, etc.

Speaking of family cookbooks.
This list would not be complete, without a little inclusion of some of my family’s favorites.
This book was referenced just last week, when I shared our recipe for Classic 7 Layer Salad.

Family cookbooks should be well loved.
Complete with stained covers, torn pages, and being held together by packaging tape.

We can’t forget everyone’s favorite family cookbooks.
Church festivals and centennial celebrations.
Who else out there immediately flips open to the dessert section to see if Mrs. Emmerson puts in her recipe of Blackberry Peach Pie that you have been dying to get your hands on for years.
(Raises hand)

My favorite vacation souvenirs are usually cookbooks I’ve purchased as a way to remember travels.

I also love finding recipes that are “copycats” of restaurant originals. This particular cookbook has been a favorite of mine for ages!

Best Cookbooks for Gifts- A Recent Favorite
To round out this list, I thought I would include one of my more recent cookbook acquisitions.
Reese Witherspoon’s “Whiskey in a Teacup”.

Now technically, this book is not just a cookbook. It is more a “lifestyle” book that Reese wrote about how growing up in the South shaped her life.
It really is a book version of your favorite magazines.
Beautifully put together, funny, charming, utterly hospitable.
Perfect as a gift for anyone on your list!
