Valentine Pretzel Hug Bites
Valentine’s Day has never been a huge holiday in our house. My elementary years brought card exchanges at school and in past year’s I’ve spent time hanging out with friends for “Gal”-entine’s Day. In all of that celebrating one item has remained constant, these Valentine Pretzel Hug Bites.

My mom started making these sweet treats in my college years. They were stored into a Ziploc baggie before being shipped off as part of my Valentine’s Day care package. Usually accompanied with a funny (or slightly risque) card to mark the holiday.

We have also made these in the past for Christmas.
Instead of using the Valentine’s M&M colors, we would use the Christmas shades of green and red.
If they could be found, we would use the circle “wreath” pretzels that were available during the holidays.
Same process to make, but changing the ingredients slightly with the seasons.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret.
Double, triple, or even quadruple this recipe.
These pretzel bites are THAT addictive.
Salty
Sweet
And everything nice.

So this year, make a batch or two of these treats.
Send some to school with your kid’s Valentine’s Day cards.
Mail some in a care package to your favorite college student.
Or serve them as dessert for your romantic Valentine’s Day dinner with your spouse.
