Bring a large pan of salted water to boil. Add green beans and cook for 5-8 minutes until partially cooked. Drain and rinse under cold water or plunge into ice water to stop cooking process.
In a large skillet, saute bacon with onion until onion is translucent and bacon has rendered most of its fat.
Add 1/3 (to 1/2) cup of sweet chili sauce to pan. Stir in green beans and salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
