Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
Combine the butter, cocoa powder, and sugar in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water.
Heat, stirring, until melted.
Stir in egg and cook until the sauce starts to thicken. About 1-2 minutes.
Remove the bowl from the pan and stir in the graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and chopped walnuts.
Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Beat together the softened butter, heavy cream, and pudding mix with a mixer on medium-high speed until combined.
Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, until light and fluffy.
Spread buttercream over the bottom layer in the pan.
Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring continuously.
Let cool 2 minutes, then pour over the middle layer.
Cover and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
Cut into bars.
