Homemade French Onion Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Vidalia Onion, cut into 1/4 inch slices (or any other sweet onion)
  • 3/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 3/4 tsp Celery Salt
  • 3/4 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • Chips or Vegetables for Serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it bubbles. Add the sliced onion and sauté, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.

  2. Remove the pan from the heat and let cool about 15 minutes, then transfer the onion to a cutting board and chop into smaller bite-sized pieces.

  3. In a bowl; whisk together the remaining ingredients. Add in the chopped onions and stir to combine.

  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

  5. Stir again before serving along side a pile of potato chips or vegetables.
