A simple and easy recipe for Homemade French Onion Dip is perfect for football or holiday parties. Great served along potato chips or vegetables
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it bubbles. Add the sliced onion and sauté, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let cool about 15 minutes, then transfer the onion to a cutting board and chop into smaller bite-sized pieces.
In a bowl; whisk together the remaining ingredients. Add in the chopped onions and stir to combine.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Stir again before serving along side a pile of potato chips or vegetables.
