Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 cups oatmeal
  • 1 (12 oz) pkg chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. 

  2. Add egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt, and flour; beat to combine. 
  3. Gently fold in oatmeal and chocolate chips. Using a cookie scoop (I used a 1 tablespoon size) put the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Slightly flatten the dough. 
  4. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes or until golden brown
