Girls Weekend In Fort Myers
Since graduating college, I have had a steady stream of weddings to celebrate (no worries~ you didn’t miss mine). A variety of friends and family deciding to tie the knot and settle down. Weddings also mean tagging along to showers, fittings, putting stamps on invites, sewing projects, and bachelorette parties. The latter of which was the reasoning behind spending the past few days traveling for a Girls Weekend In Fort Myers.
My friend, Teresa, is getting married in August and since her group of friends covered multiple states it was decided to make the bachelorette party more of a destination vacation.
Last Thursday, Hannah, Teresa, and I hopped on a plane from Omaha to Fort Myers, Florida to meet up with the other girls coming in from Illinois, Michigan, and other parts of Florida.
Plane selfies for the win!
Since there were eight of us on this trip, renting a house was the best option.
A house with a pool is even better.
A house with a pool overlooking a lake.
Now we are talking!
Complete with palm trees.
And an amazing tree swing!
We spent so much of our weekend in this backyard.
As much fun as the sites and sounds of Fort Myers and Cape Coral are, this pool kept calling us back.
That didn’t mean we never got gussied up to go out.
Including sweating profusely before Hole 2 in putt putt golf.
Dude, it was H… O… T…!!
But gorgeous sunsets like this with friends and memories to last a lifetime, make a bit of sticky weather worth it.
