Homemade French Onion Dip
It’s football season y’all! High school, college, and NFL games are all back up and running. After a year like 2020, when it was hard to celebrate and tailgate, this year people are getting together again to enjoy watching their favorite teams. One of the reason I love football season so much is the food. This Homemade French Onion Dip is just the appetizer that has been missing from your party!

I have no will power when it comes to any sort of dip and chip combination.
Salsa and tortilla chips. I’ll eat the whole basket.
Queso, guac, etc.
I’m a sucker for it all.

Stick this French Onion dip on a platter, give me an adult beverage, and I’ll be one happy lady.
A Husker victory is just an added bonus!

Yes, I know you can just buy a container of French Onion chip dip in the refrigerated aisle at the grocery store, but this one is so much better.
Trust me, it’s worth the little extra effort it takes to bring it all together.

The nice thing about this dip is that many of the ingredients are items you probably already have on hand.
Butter, onion, sour cream, mayonnaise, celery salt, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.

Simply caramelize the onion in butter, let it cool, chop it up, and stir in the remaining ingredients.
Presto – the perfect football or holiday snack is served!
