The Best Honey Butter Recipe
Without fail, every year for family Thanksgiving I am put in charge of bringing the rolls. Not that I’m complaining, because out of everything I cook and bake in the kitchen, bread is my favorite. Give me all the carbs my friends! What’s better to pair with your favorite dinner bun then The Best Honey Butter Recipe ever!

Yes. Just like THAT honey butter.
The one made famous by Texas Roadhouse restaurants.

The one that is perfect to slather on warm bread rolls or biscuits.
Even on top of pancakes and waffles.
DEVINE!

You remember at the start of this post when I mentioned I’m usually put in charge of the bread basket at Thanksgiving?
Well, story time.

Every year for Thanksgiving, we go to my aunt and uncle’s house. Last year, it was decided that we (as an extended family) have outgrown the space and instead rented a larger hall in our hometown.
Everything was going well and we were only a few minutes away from sending everyone through line to load their plates with food, when one of my cousins asked where the butter was for the rolls.
It seemed as though no one remembered to pack it along to the new Thanksgiving location!
Gasps.
Anyway- not all was lost. The local convenience store had some small packages of butter that they let us have and the day was saved, but… I think we all learned our lesson. Ha!

Because of that, you know for sure a few containers of this honey butter will be available this year for Thanksgiving (and maybe even Christmas)!
Let me tell you, next to someone forgetting to bring the dessert.
Buns without butter is a big no-no in my family!
How about yours?

The Best Honey Butter Recipe
The Best Honey Butter Recipe is even better than Texas Roadhouse. Cinnamon honey flavored butter that is perfect for your bread & roll basket.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Tbsp White Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- Splash Vanilla Extract
- Ground Cinnamon
- 1 stick Butter, softened to room temperature
Instructions
-
In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring to a boil the honey, heavy cream, white sugar, brown sugar, a splash of vanilla extract, and a very small sprinkle of ground cinnamon (more or less to taste).
-
Once boiling, stir mixture and cook for a few minutes, before removing from the heat and letting it cool slightly.
-
Meanwhile, beat the stick of butter in a bowl until creamed.
-
Once honey mixture has cooled, slowly add into the creamed butter. Mix on low speed with mixer for several minutes. Then let butter sit to cool. Every few minutes as it cools, I will run the mixer to blend the butter so it does not separate and has a wonderful 'whipped' consistency as the finished product.
-
When butter has come back to room temperature, put into a storage container. I use little condiment dishes like what you'd get in to-go meals (or for jello shots). Ha!
