Homemade Butterscotch Pudding
Christmas always is a time where I love to bring out a dessert that both has a WOW factor, but also is easy to make. Let’s be honest, no one wants to be slaving away on the final pieces of Christmas dinner when everyone else is enjoying opening presents or making another trip to refill their libation of choice. That’s what makes this recipe for Homemade Butterscotch Pudding the perfect addition to your Christmas or New Year festivities.

Start by whisking together brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt into a saucepan.
Add in the milk and egg yolks.

Stir everything together over medium heat until it begins to thicken.
Add in a tablespoon of butter and let melt into the pudding.

Spoon the pudding into decorative glasses or serving bowls.
Let chill in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.

Top the pudding with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
Add a little extra for good measure.

To finish this off, drizzle with a little caramel sauce or McCormick’s new holiday finishing sugars.
The English Toffee and the Salted caramel flavors being the absolute best (in my humble opinion) to finish off this delicious pudding.
Yum!
