I love a great Bloody Mary. They are one of my favorite drinks to have on a Sunday following a big brunch and prepping for a full day of football. What goes better with one of my favorite drinks than this fun addition to the party- Bloody Mary Snack Mix.

It is a tomato based, Bloody Mary inspired mix of seasonings and a play on a classic homemade Chex mix.
This recipe is great to make ahead because it’s even better after it sits for a day or two. When it is party time, set out in bowls for your guests to enjoy.

Start by making your seasoning base.
In a saucepan, melt together the butter and tomato paste. Add in the Worcestershire sauce, dill pickle brine, sugar, Tabasco, celery salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.

In a large roasting pan, stir together the rest of the ‘nuts and bolts’.
You can use a mix of your favorite snacks, but I love making this with Cheez-Its (the White Cheddar flavor is awesome in this), Cheerios, Chex, pretzels, and cashews (or peanuts).

Pour the butter mixture over the snacks, and toss to coat.
Bake in a 250 degree oven for over an hour, making sure to mix it every 15-20 minutes.

Now is the hardest part, let the mix cool completely before transferring it to a resealable bag or serving bowl.
Then crack a cold beer and dig in.
